Whitney Biennial’s experienced chief curator Francesco Bonami and his right hand, the young associate curator Gary Carrion-Murayari, announced the artists who will have their work featured at the 2010 Whitney Biennial, in a video shot by Pierce Goldberg (son of art historian Roselee Goldberg). The chosen form of announcement innaugurates the event’s anticipation with much freshness. The 2010 Whitney Biennial will take place at ew York’s Whitney Museum of American Art from February 25th to May 30th.
2010 Whitney Biennial: the list
An ongoing series of short videos focused on the selected artists, curators and Biennial special events can be seen at the Watch & Listen section on Whitney’s website. The video series suits very well the contemporary art event, known for providing, since 1932, a leading platform for young minds and artists that don’t exactly fit within the spectrum of the mainstream art world.
